European Union ArE U in or out?

The morning seminar on Monday 7th June will be European Union ArE U in or out? This is being jointly organised by the Social Issues Committee and the International Council of Jewish Women.

Would the UK be better off staying in the Union and making changes from within or does the UK exit and take control of its own destiny?

On June 23 the UK Referendum will offer the nation the opportunity to vote on this important question.

This AGM seminar is a chance to allow members to hear both sides of the debate and ask questions. This debate will assist members who are undecided to make a more informed decision. Our panel of speakers will include Susie Symes, (Current Chair of Trustees, 19 Princelet Street, formerly Director of European Programme Chatham House and Policy Adviser and Economist European Union) speaking for the EU and Baron Dobbs of Wylye (Michael Dobbs, politician and author whose books include House of Cards which was a very popular TV series) speaking for Brexit.

Both speakers have spoken to LJW members before. Doors will open at 10.30am with tea and coffee and the seminar will commence promptly at 11am. The event will be held at ORT House.

Tickets will be issued.
